The
East
Midland Airport is
just 15-20 minutes drive from Nottingham
and offers direct flights to many
of Europe's major cities including;
Amsterdam, Barcelona, Belfast, Brussels,
Dublin, Geneva, Milan, Paris, Rome
and Vencie. . Airlines servicing the
East Midland Airport include Ryanair,
Easyjet and Bmi. Long-haul
delegates may wish to route through
mainland Europe and then connect directly
into East Midlands thereby cutting
out the journey through Heathrow and
central London.
For domestic, European and international
flights, Nottinghamshire is well served
by a range of regional airports.
East Midlands Airport is just 14 miles
from Nottingham and can be reached
quickly by taxi or on the frequent
Skylink bus service to the city centre.
There is also a dedicated shuttle
bus and Railink, which runs from the
airport to the new East Midlands Parkway
station every 30 minutes from 7am
until 11.30pm seven days a week. The
airport offers regular scheduled flights,
serving many shorthaul and longhaul

Robin
Hood Airport is a major destination
for flights from all over Europe and
longhaul routes. With a runway 2.8km
long it is the only airport outside
London able to accommodate the new

speed (under 2 hours) rail links run
from Nottingham to London, Birmingham,
Manchester and the rest of the UK. When
reaching Nottingham Station take the
exit to Station Road for taxis.

Nottinghamshire Convention Bureau is
working in partnership with East Midlands
Trains to offer Interflam
delegates discounted rail tickets
on selected routes. Return fairs London/Nottingham
cost £30 for standard fares and
£50 first class. Time of travel
is restricted. (Tickets are not valid:
Monday to Friday
on East Midlands Mainline services scheduled
to arrive in London before 1100hrs.

Paris to Nottingham in less than five

terminal at London St Pancras means

The proximity of the motorway network
of the M1, A1, A52 and A46 means Nottinghamshire
is easily accessible by car or bus.
Cities such as Birmingham, Leeds, and
Manchester are under two hours drive
